A spokesperson for Victoria Beckham has dismissed reports the former Spice Girl has ditched her trademark heels because of a foot deformity, insisting the star donned flats earlier this week for a "change of image".
The singer-turned-designer shocked the fashion world on Monday when she was spotted walking through Los Angeles airport in a pair of ballet pumps, despite previously declaring she would only wear them in a dance studio.
Gossips began speculating that Beckham had turned her back on high heels because she was nursing "serious bunions" on her feet.
But the star's spokesperson has laughed off the suggestions, insisting the reason for the fashion change is far less sinister.
The rep tells Coco Perez, "It's purely a fashion choice. She loves mixing things up, changing her image. That's all!"
