Whats the rule 8 violation?

hmmm, not to sound like a smartass, but did it ever occur to you to READ THE RULES? (especially before posting)

he's not being a smartass, he's asking, and so am i.

the 8th rule states:
8. (a)When attaching a link to a video or an archive, such as a ZIP file or an RAR file, you are required to attach at least one preview pic, a brief description, and the size of the video or archive in MBs. All posts not meeting these requirements will be deleted!
....(b) Do not post duplicate images unless they are larger and/or higher quality than those previously posted.

so where's the violation?

i wasn't calling him a smartass i said i wasn't trying to be a smartass. it is obvious it is one of 3 things (one being the links were deleted). Turtle is the one who issued the warning. ask him.
ECHOES

It's a simple rule! Attach at least one preview picture, add a brief description and add the file size in MB's.
Any one of these not there will see the post deleted.
Turtle.

edit:
oops, my bad, didn't see that file size was missing

So now I'm curious why you all of a sudden chose to delete the links on these couple of posts, whereas in other posts all over the board you simply edit the post to add the file size and leave the link up.

And if you're going to do that (delete the link), why did you bother with deleting only the link and leaving the rest of the post? Why not just flush the whole post and send a PM to the poster?

And then there are other posters that put up nothing but reposts in the same thread and they're left up.

I don't understand the selective rule enforcement and non-uniformity in moderation from one post to another here. It's more than a little confusing.

I will let Turtle speak for himself. The rule is actually quite clear. Anytime I bother to add the missing file size it is out of a courtesy to the poster and the board. I hate losing the content. I will almost never add pictures myself. I don't have the time. If it is something that I believe will be of major importance to the membership I will PM the offending poster and leave a note in the post to bring the error to his attention. If he corrects the situation; fine. If not it gets deleted. Otherwise I delete those posts altogether. But in every case I PM the poster to let him know what has happened.

The bottom line is that the rule is clearly posted in the rule section. It is completely clear. The fact that different mods might react in a different way to the same post is of no consequence if you ask me. The onus is on you - the poster - to follow the rules. If we actually strive to have uniformity then all violations of the rule will result in deletion of those posts. In cases where that doesn't happen - count yourselves lucky.

Just wondering why all these rules in the 1st place? As long as people enjoy posting and contribute to the site that's what matters.
So many rules that people dont keep track of all that shit.
There tons of Forums that thrive and dont have that many rules set upon the user.
They just only required you to either not post stuff from a certain site for lawsuit reasons or dont post the wrong media in the wrong thread.
Good examples of these are....

pornbb
phun
planetsuzy
provingrounds

Excellent forums without ALL the hassle.
I'm assuming this is going to get deleted right away to suppress such information from getting out.
I enjoyed at first coming here and submiting/sharing stuff but it's getting gay now.
You guys need to relax.
That's just my $0.02..... Now delete away.

Links edited. Turtle.

what a douchebag. don't flatter yourself. if you don't like it you don't have stay. our board is the best board there is where there isn't shit all over the place, dead links everywhere, and disorganized. you agreed to follow the rules when you signed up. its like a contract, keep your part of the bargain and its all right. don't keep your part of the bargain and you've violated that contract. we have a "three stike" system, but if someone screws one of us or is just being an asshole they can be banned without any warnings.

I usually warn the poster that they need to add the file sizes to their links, AFTER I have added them for them.
If they then choose to ignore that warning which I PM to them as well as leaving a note in the post.
You don't seem to realise how many posts we have to deal with, it's not just the ones you frequent.
The reason more are getting deleted by me is that I'm sick and tired of people not following a few simple rules and ignoring what we as mods ask.
I don't even get a simple "Sorry about that". In which case I'd reinstate the link, as I was saving them so as not to lose them.
Like Spud, I don't want to see a perfectly good post go, but I'm not prepared to keep ignoring bad posts.

As I said before, I don't want to delete a good post, if the pics are good, they stay.
If I 'flushed' the post, how will it serve as a warning to everyone else. After all, not everyone reads the rules when they post.

We don't spot everything. We can't be in all places at all times. You can help. Use the report button if you think a post is wrong.
If one post seems to get modderated more than another, it's probably because the mod likes that post and spends more time in it.
There are 5185 celebrity threads, 11934 models and 6633 fakes. So if I miss some reposts, forgive me.

I'm sorry magestyk that some of your posted links got deleted. You could have PM'd me to get it sorted instead of a public display like this.
I have also edited your post above as you violated another rule in posting links to other forums.
If you PM me or any of the other mods, we'll try and explain any of the rules you don't understand, we're here to help.

Out of curiosity I checked the rules on the posting of links in the phun forum:
phun wrote:
- proper, descriptive titeling (for example name(s) of the models(s))

- informations about the file(s) you are posting such as file-size and file format,screen-resolution and vid-duration

- provide the direct link(s) to where the video is hosted

- if special software is needed to view the vids you are posting name it

As you can see, on the second line, file-size is required.
