Guess I'm the new mod on the block. I'm Curmudgeon, and I try to live up to the name. I live in Silicon Valley, where I used to be a software engineer before I decided to become "semi-retired" -- which is what I tell people rather than the real story, which is that I'm slowly teaching myself to remodel houses for fun and (eventual) profit.

I mostly hang out in the Celebrities forum, where I try to keep the quality up and the error rate (dupes and fakes) down.

Congrats Curmudgeon, good luck with the re-modelling and the modding! Partyman

I forgot to introduce myself;
Curmudgeon and me are the newest mods.
I'm posting from Scandinavia, and if you see my profile, you will see that I like to study languages and travel.
I work in a big international company as manager with responsibility in the South European Markets.
Mostly I visit the Celebrities and Internet models forum.
I’ll try to help the more experienced mods in maintaining the Board quality levels, respect for the rules, respect for the other members, good manners, and good humor! Very Happy

Sorry to be away so long and not reply but it's good to have you on board Curmudgeon and MARKK. I spent twenty years working as a Unix sysadmin and went to a school for a $500,000 color plotter in Santa Clara around 1993. I also had a cousin who lived in Mountain View and I think it was the Loma Preita earthquake she went through.

I was blown away by the cost of housing in that area but enjoyed my week stay. The engineer from the our division in the U.K. that went to the school with me had to smoke while flying so he flew home to outside London non-stop from San Francisco on BA! That's why I love my Copenhagen - I can dip on any flight!

For MARKK - my last paying job was with Petroleum Geo-Services - co-headquarterd in Oslo and Houston. Great people!
