    Please don't take me wrong guys, but this thread is really />
    I honestly admit that I am not an expert, but I'll try it with a metaphor:
    In around fall 2004 there was an empty bottle, which is now full of But many more smarties like to go in this bottle but there is no more space for them The new smarties are very So the big Smarty-admin has now more or less 2 Either to empty the bottle by throwing all the old smarties away, or to take another bigger bottle that get filled with all the old Thus, all the old smarties are stored again and the new smarties are not unhappy anymore because the new bigger bottle has more than enough space for them />

    Well I know for certain you average server hard disk drive wont accept the file extension

    I'm well interested to know how much space is required to archive all the files and text that exists on this forum, are we talkin terabytes here?!

    Are you good at math? I have posted 4350 I have made of the posts on the My average post is probably larger than most because I post a lot of How much space is needed? Thats about 100,000MB, whatever that means in those funny words people use to measure this Since we need MORE space it will be an even bigger number :P

    Any corrections or comments to the following are very welcome:
    If I see it right we have this equation:
    x = 100%
    => x = /> That would mean that the old disc has a capacity of around 100GB (as Bill already found /> And the disc was full after around 1 So if the new disc has a capacity of around 1TB, we can post like mad for the next 9 So I guess it would be better to get a 10TB disc, and we would have space enough for the next 90 Thus, it would be highly improbable that we would again experience a disc Or do we have a user who is around 10 years old and likes to become 100?
