In your toolbar can you click
Tools/internet options and delete them that way?
I have a setting that prompts me when someone wants to add a cookie.

You can use Spybot Search&Destroy. It's very easy to handle and freeware. Another ingenious tool is JV16 Powertools but be careful with it. As all mods say 'READ THE RULES' before using it. It's sadly no freeware but you can dowload a tryout.
