Miroslava "Mirka" Federer, (born Miroslava Vavrinec on 1 April 1978 in Bojnice, Slovakia, then Czechoslovakia) is a former WTA tennis player from Switzerland who retired from the game in 2002 due to a persistent foot injury. She is best known as the wife of World No.1 tennis player Roger Federer, having first met him at the Sydney 2000 Olympics. Since her retirement, Vavrinec, known as Mirka, is frequently seen on the ATP circuit attending Federer's matches.
