Lindsay Lohan released from jail serving only five hours of a 30 day sentence.

Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail less than five hours after checking into a California prison.

The Mean Girls star arrived at the Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood, California shortly before 9pm local time on Sunday night, and she was sent home around 1.30am on Monday morning.

The actress pleaded guilty to a probation violation last Wednesday and was sentenced to 30 days in jail, but she ended up serving less than five hours behind bars due to prison overcrowding, according to TMZ.com.

I guess if it's not a felony, you can do whatever you want in California.:mad:
