Imagevenue

Just a question:

Is anyone having trouble viewing Imagevenue links?

I only seem to be seeing the occasional picture just lately and yet others have no problems at all.
I have seen it raised on other forums.
I use Internet Explorer and Chrome and both refuse to show pictures or thumbnails. But if I load up the AOL console I can see them. Why?
Imagebam is working ok, as are the other hosts.

My iPad is also not picking up the links.

I need a solution - ideas on a postcard please.

I have no problem viewing Imagevenue links. Using Firefox 17. I don't know if it's browser related but it's worth a try I guess.

EDIT: Updated to latest Firefox version (20.0.1) and still no problem.

At the moment it seems to be a UK problem, but not all of us?
It may be an IP blocking problem, I don't know.
I can't be the only one that can't see the thumbs or access the pictures.

An example:

5 pictures from the Marie-Claude Bourbonnais/Marie Carle/Marry Bardot thread that I can't see through Chrome (Version 26) or Explorer (Version 9)

Yeah, that's odd. I did a bit of research but came up dry. I don't see how this could be a regional issue and only affect some users.

I had an idea. Can you see the thumbnails/links on ? I think they are all imagevenue links.

Be aware guys that Imagevenue & Imagebam, probably others too, have many image servers. They split up their workload like a CDN (content distribution network). Some times some servers will go down for maintenance or be unavailable for any number of reasons. This could possibly be what is being experienced.

No probs for me.
I always use Imagevenue and think it's very good.

Over the last couple of days about 90% of Imagevenue pictures are Not working for me :(

(I'm in the UK, my ISP is TalkTalk (Tiscali) on a BT Line - maybe that could be the connection? )

This seems to be a UK problem, as it is being discussed on other boards.

A short term solution seems to be using a proxy server:

A lot of the images now seem to be showing, so maybe they've worked out the problem?

I'm not having any problems viewing images on Imagevenue (apart from it being slow to load...) but I am having trouble uploading to the site. When it comes to processing the images and displaying the thumbnails and links, it doesn't load the page at all. Anyone else having similar problems or know how to sort it out?

I would just switch to Imagebam or Imgbox, but there seem to be a lot of pics I want to upload that are banned on these hosts! Dammit...
