Glynis Johns
Glynis Johns (born October 5, 1923) is a British stage and film actress, dancer, pianist and singer (notably of "Send in the Clowns" in Stephen Sondheim's A Little Night Music). With a career spanning seven decades, Johns is often cited as the "complete actress", who happens to be a trained pianist and singer. She is also an accomplished dancer, and was qualified to teach ballet by the age of ten.

Hats off off to Vdat on this one. I think I first recall Johns from my childhood, seeing her in 'Mary Poppins', in which she was an irreplaceable force. She "owned" her songs in that one. Later, I saw her in some Brit films from the 40s. She was extremely beautiful, I thought. I own 'The Court Jester', with Danny Kaye and Basil Rathbone. Johns is the love interest. A ravishing and extremely talented character actress of the era. Thanks! :)
