Chris Noel
AKA-'Christmas' Noel was a rising Hollywood starlet when the U.S. government called on her to help boost troop morale during the Vietnam War. The beautiful and talented actress was more than up to the challenge even though it meant repeatedly risking her life as she visited and entertained troops on the front line. She was caught in sniper crossfire, mortar barrages and even endured a crash landing in a helicopter that was shot down.
From 1966 to 1971 her radio program, “A Date With Chris”, aired nightly on Armed Forces Radio worldwide. She also appeared onstage with Bob Hope during his visits to the war zone. General Frank Davis said “Chris was the biggest morale booster America had during the Vietnam War”. Before going to Vietnam Chris had roles in a string of popular movies including an Elvis Presley film. She remains to this day a heroine to our Vietnam Era troops. She also founded Vetsville Cease Fire House to help provide food, clothing, shelter and counseling for veterans who are down on their luck.
