john_wayne is the shortened version of an old screen name (different forum).
My using john_wayne as a screen name is somewhat ironic, given that I am neither American nor do I share Mr. Marion Morrison's political views.

Being very proud of my Irish culture...tricolor is the what our flag is known as ..although its not the name I usually go by.
Both of mine, on here, simply come from words that I identify with and happen to need a D on the front.
Nice to know all of these others.
I've posted this here and there but I will post it again here. I chose lineback after the lineback dun horse color - tan with a dark line down the back and a black or brown mane and tail. John Wayne rode one in a couple of movies. It came from a lineback dun Appaloosa mare that I loved that belonged to an ex-girlfriend. Sadly I recently learned that Nita has passed away at 37 years.
I was going to use sorrel that was the copper color of my great horse Moondazzler who died in 1998 but I decided on lineback instead. Looking through the membership list in December of 2004 when I joined I found the person who joined immediately before me used sorrel and never posted once. Strange coincidence!
I like the group kiss. I am surprised nobody took God_of_thunder
Is it the great Irish name O Neill... that of the high kings
Hi everyone. I've never been that good with screenames. The name I choose is partly from a nickname I used to have as a kid. Knobby from having so many lumps on my head from falling as a kid. Don't worry there wasn't much braindamage . . . well, not much. Glad to be a part of the board.
There must've been some damage for you to have ended up here, none of us are sane.Quote:
