Thanks are certainly appreciated by the posters but understand that members are most valued by posting good material. We value all our members who participate in any positive way but the best way to get a good rep here is to post content. We have simple rules and just encourage the posting of relevant content to enrich the board.
As BB has said before, if you can't find anything to post you aren't trying hard enough. It's out there to find. Don't worry so much if your thanks count might get reset as Mike tries to get the bugs out of the software, Post good stuff and you will get the thanks!
I understand where he's comin' from and I agree to an extent, but imo it's not necessary.Quote:

Personally, if the fake is well done , I will use the quote option since I feel the Faker should be thanked.Quote:

Usually, I just look through my RS account to see how often things are downloaded. I have found, on numerous occasions, things that I have posted that have been downloaded more than 50 times without any acknowledgement being made on the board. Posting things to get a thank you is, for me, like doing unnecessary things that will pad your posting numbers. As far as the thanks button goes, it seems to me that the Board has been running more efficiently without it. As for thanking someone, you can always send them a PM which can be deleted after being read thereby eliminating the unnecessary use of Board space that was alluded to by swfrooster.
a very good idea. :thumbsup:Quote:

Recently I have been filling the database I have with bodyshots posted from that section here, and have been hitting the thanks button quite frequently. Sure, I can send folks like rnguy and such a PM stating that I love their posts, but that does not single out particular ones, and I sure am not gonna send as many (if any) PM's as I would if I were to use the thanks button.

All I am interested in hearing about is if someone would like to see more material by a model (or models) I have posted. Not to sound ungrateful but once I have posted something it does not matter whether someone likes it or not so the "thanks" process is irrelevant to me. But I would prefer to post something that I know someone is interested in before something that may, or may not, appeal to anyone. The only way I can know to do that is if someone lets me know.
I have used the Thanks button when I have downloaded something that someone has posted. I have used PMs when I am looking for something else related to what someone has posted. As I stated previously, the removal of the Thanks button does seem to have improved the efficiency of the Board. Of course, that could be my imagination.
