The UFC president told Yahoo! Sports when he found out, "This is the worst news I could have possibly gotten." He would continue, "It’s horrendous. I have been trying to make this fight for six years. I have done everything in my power I could do over the last six years to make this fight and it’s still not happening. I just don’t see it happening now."
“This just happened (Wednesday afternoon) and I’m not sure what we’re going to do,” White said. “We’re trying to figure it out. It’s not a fun time right now.”
umaga captures tna tag team titles.

just kidding. at booker t's recent PWA wrestling show in houston, tx, team 3d went against booker t and some other guy (i don't know who) but it was pretty much a tna vs wwe match. team 3d won. apparantly after the match was over team 3d left their belts in the ring or by the ring. umaga came out and stared down booker t. at some point umaga realized that one of the tna tag team belts was left behind and being kind decided to get it and take it back to its rightful owner. but some shots were taken and posted online. you know umaga didn't show up on raw last night. hmm. i wonder if it had anything to do with the picture taken?
DECATUR, Ga. — Professional wrestler Chris Benoit had an elevated level of testosterone in his system but no other steroids in his body, and his 7-year-old son was sedated at the time of his death, a Georgia medical examiner said Thursday.
"This level of testosterone indicates that he had been using testosterone at least within some reasonably short period of time prior to the time that he died," said Dr. Kris Sperry, chief medical examiner for the state with the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, as he released the results of the toxicology report for the wrestler; his wife, Nancy; and son, Daniel.
"Although testosterone was found in Christopher Benoit's urine, there is no evidence of any other of the illegal types of steroids, or the whole laundry list of anabolic steroids that are out there to be used," Sperry said, adding, "the presence of the testosterone alone even could be an indicator that he was being treated for testicular insufficiency."
Besides steroids, Benoit's body contained the anti-anxiety drug Xanax and the painkiller hydrocodone, according to a statement from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation. The GBI said Benoit tested negative for blood alcohol.
But Sperry said that they found a drug in the child's system that surprised them: Xanax.
"It is our opinion that Daniel Benoit was sedated by Xanax at the time that he was murdered, so that (means) he was sedated prior to the time that he died," he said.
The GBI said it could not perform tests for steroids or human growth hormones on the son because of a lack of urine.
Benoit's wife, Nancy, tested positive for Xanax, hydrocodone and the painkiller hydromorphone, but the decomposition process hindered the ability to determine the precise levels of the drugs at the time of her death. An elevated alcohol level found in her system could also be due to the decomposition process, Sperry said.
"The decomposition will affect the ability to interpret these drug levels reliably," Sperry said. "Before she died, they may have been higher. They could have been lower. We just don't know and we'll never know."
The test results were expected to shed more light on Benoit's last moments. Authorities said Benoit killed his wife and son in their suburban Atlanta home, placed Bibles next to their bodies and then hanged himself on the cable of a weight machine.
Anabolic steroids were found in the home, leading officials to wonder if the drugs played a role in the killings. Some experts believe steroids can cause paranoia, depression and violent outbursts known as "roid rage."
"There is no reliable scientific data that conclusively says that elevated levels of administered testosterone lead to excessive rage or behavioral disorders," Sperry said. "All the testing that's been done regarding that has been completely inconclusive."
Federal authorities have charged Benoit's personal physician, Dr. Phil Astin, with improperly prescribing painkillers and other drugs to two patients other than Benoit. He has pleaded not guilty.
Investigators have also raided Astin's office several times since the deaths, seizing prescription records and other documents.
Before he was charged, Astin told the AP he prescribed testosterone for Benoit, a longtime friend, in the past. He would not say what, if any, medications he prescribed when Benoit visited his office June 22, the day authorities believe Benoit killed his wife.
"It's a little unclear to know exactly where this leads us, but you take this piece and you compare it with what a witness said or what was found at the scene and suddenly the picture begins to become more in focus," said Scott Ballard, district attorney for Fayette County. "And that's what we're certainly hoping to do."
yeah, the toxicology report made it even more bizarre, in a way, to me at least. but as i said before, (marked my words), those "anxiety"/psychotropic drugs have worse side-effects than what they are treating...

UFC 75: CHAMPION VS. CHAMPION ON SPIKE TV!
Reigning UFC® Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson Takes On PRIDE Champion Dan Henderson in
Historic Unification Bout in London
UFC 75 Also Features Top Heavyweight Contenders Mirko “Cro Cop” vs. Cheick Kongo and The Ultimate Fighter® 3 Alums Michael Bisping vs. Matt Hamill
New York, NY, July 16, 2007 -- Spike TV will telecast “UFC 75: Champion vs. Champion,” its most star-studded fight card ever, including the network’s first-ever UFC® title fight, a unification bout between UFC LightHeavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and PRIDE’s 205-pound Champion Dan “Hollywood” Henderson, on Saturday, September 8 at 9:00 PM ET/PT (same day tape) from The O2 Arena in London, England. UFC 75 also features a major heavyweight battle with international superstar Mirko “Cro Cop” when he takes on France’s Cheick Kongo. As a special feature, England’s own and “The Ultimate Fighter® 3” Light Heavyweight Champion Michael “The Count” Bisping takes on fellow “The Ultimate Fighter 3” cast member Matt “The Hammer” Hamill.
“We are pleased that Spike TV will bring UFC 75 live from London to millions of UFC fans in the U.S. and Canada,” said Dana White, UFC President. “UFC 75 will be the UFC and PRIDE’s first ever unification match" this fight between Rampage Jackson and Dan Henderson will decide who is the best 205-pound fighter in the two organizations. This is the mega-fight that sports fans have always wanted, and after waiting almost a decade not only do they finally get it, they get to watch it for free on Spike TV.”
“Spike TV is thrilled to present such a monumental bout between these two great champions, said Kevin Kay, General Manager, Spike TV. “Not only will this be the first ever unification bout but it is Spike TV’s first ever UFC title fight.”
UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Quinton “Rampage” Jackson is coming off a thrilling victory over Chuck Liddell. Knocking out “The Iceman” less than two minutes into the first round of their fight at UFC 71 in May to capture the light heavyweight crown, Jackson stopped a streak of four consecutive title defenses by Liddell. The 29-year-old has been a rising star in mixed martial arts since his 2001 debut with the PRIDE Fighting organization (recently acquired by UFC ownership) he defeated many of the world’s best fighters, including a previous victory over Liddell in 2003. Jackson will put his new UFC title on the line against Henderson, the pound-for-pound superstar who holds two titles in PRIDE.
Henderson currently holds PRIDE’s 205 pound and 185 pound title. He is the only the only fighter in MMA history to hold two titles in two weight classes concurrently in a major fight organization. He enters his fight with Jackson after a stunning knockout victory over Wanderlei Silva last February, which was compelling since Silva had beaten Jackson twice before. Having represented the United States in the 1992 and 1996 Olympics in Greco-Roman wrestling, Henderson will look to impose his wrestling ability during his bout with Jackson in an attempt to make history again, this time by becoming the first fighter ever to hold both the UFC and PRIDE titles.
Mirko “Cro Cop” returns to the Octagon™ following his first UFC loss to Brazil’s Gabriel Gonzaga at UFC 70 in Manchester, England. The fearsome kickboxer turned mixed martial artist was the 2006 PRIDE Open Weight Grand Prix Champion and was expected by many to defeat Gonzaga en route to a mega-fight with Randy Couture for the heavyweight title at UFC 74 in August. Instead, Gonzaga turned the tables on “Cro Cop” and caught him with a right leg kick to the head, sending him to the canvas in a stunning upset nine seconds before the end of the first round. “Cro Cop” now goes back to England in an attempt to defeat Kongo and start a new reign of terror in the heavyweight division.
Kongo, like Cro Cop, is a kickboxer turned mixed martial artist. Not much was known of the 6’4” 240-pound Parisian when he made his UFC 61 debut in July of 2006 against Gilbert Aldana. He had an impressive record and a stellar reputation as a kickboxer, but many wondered if he could compete in the MMA arena. He answered that question quickly as he halted the rugged Aldana in the first round. Kongo then jumped back and scored another first round stoppage at UFC 62, this one over Christian Wellisch. At UFC 70, Kongo triumphed with a majority decision over popular Brazilian heavyweight Assuerio Silva, scoring his third win in the UFC.
In other undercard action, light heavyweights Michael Bisping and Matt Hamill will each be putting their undefeated records on the line in a match-up that most expected to see on “The Ultimate Fighter 3” before Hamill was forced to withdraw from the competition due to injury. Fighting out of Widnes, England, Bisping, winner of The Ultimate Fighter 3 in the light heavyweight division, comes into the bout off wins over Eric Schafer and Elvis Sinosic at UFC 66 and UFC 70 respectively.
“The Hammer” trains with Tito Ortiz and Team Punishment in Southern California, and most recently defeated Rex Holman at UFC 68. Hamill is a 2004 inductee in the Division III Wrestling Hall of Fame was the first U.S. wrestler to win gold medals in freestyle and Greco Roman competition in the 1997 World Games for the Deaf. The three-time NCAA National Champion attended the National Technical Institute for the Deaf in Rochester.
More details on the event to be announced shortly.
Spike TV is available in 91.6 million homes and is a division of MTV Networks. A unit of Viacom (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), MTV Networks is one of the world’s leading creators of programming and content across all media platforms.
i think cheick kongo might be in for a real ass kicking from cro cop based on kongo's last fight; he has NO ground game! but, then again, cro cop isn't really keen on going to the ground either, so maybe it'll be more evenly matched, since cro cop prefers the knockout.

i still can't believe that his figures are still showing up in toy stores. where i work we got some in but we were not allowed to put his stuff out on the salesfloor.
ha! he will at summerslam, so rest assured.
I have no reason to post this other than I always mark out for this move...
Call it Megumi Kudo's Kudo Driver, "Sugar" Shane Helms Vertabreaker or Homicide's COP KILLAH!!!
**** Dead Image$hack Link ****
yeah, thats always been one of my fav moves. when my friends and i did our "backyard wrestling" we did that move several times, but its kinda hard to pull off. not to mention its about as risky a move as there can be...
we recorded our "events" and have 3 of them on tape. in the last one, there was three of us and we all thought i damn near killed my friend. i had him up on my back for a crucifix slam/razor's edge & he tried (mostly unsuccessfully) to low-blow me by swinging his foot/heel backwards to try to crotch-shot me and it pissed me off so instead of doing a crucifix slam i flipped him off my back (really quickly & hard) towards the ground. he kissed his chest cuz his head & neck curled underneath his body! (like the effect of powerbomb except he ended up more bent cuz of the angle i threw him off at).
luckily for everyone, he was just a bit stunned and didn't get hurt. he ended up getting me back later tho with a nasty powerbomb. ;)
i ended up coining that move the "Career Killer". it became infamous among all wrestling fans around here. we never did it again, on purpose or accidentally.
