I am a huge fan of the Louis L'Amour western series, the Sacketts.

I'm a major Louis L'Amour fan and read most of his books as a kid. He started every book with a statement that read something like "I describe places that are real. If I talk about a stream it exists and the water is good to drink". I just picked up "The Quick and the Dead" with Sam Elliot from the $5 bin at Wal-Mart.
