Anne Lloyd Francis (born September 16, 1930) is an American actress, famous for her role in the science fiction film classic Forbidden Planet (1956), and as the female private detective in the television series Honey West (1965-1966). She won a Golden Globe and was nominated for an Emmy award for her role in Honey West. Francis holds the distinction of starring in the first TV series with a woman detective character's name in the title.

Successful model and cover girl from the age of 5, Francis played child roles on radio shows and became known as 'The Little Queen of Soap Opera'. Her screen debut was with MGM in 1947, @ the age of 16, but the parts didn't come until she signed with Fox in the 50s. Later, she worked with other studios, as well, but they never really realized her potential as an actress. Her films include 'Bad Day @ Black Rock', 'The Blackboard Jungle'(both 1955), 'Forbidden Planet'(1956), and 'Funny Girl'(196. Her appearances on TV were numerous from the 50s-70s, with the lead in the series 'Honey West'(65-66) and a memorable role on 'The Twilight Zone', in the first season episode 'The After Hours'(60).
