    Anyone here play video games?

Geeky question, I know. But, I AM a geek so it kinda works out. So, do ya do ya? I personally have a PS2 & NES. I'm too poor for the brand new systems, but I'm happy with what I have.

I LOVE the Grand Theft Auto series, and the Star Wars Lego games. I also have hours invested in SSX3 though:). I recently bought Kingdom Hearts, Spider-Man 2, Bully, Marvel Ultimate Aliance, and X-Men legends 2 online, and I'm HOPING they are all good choices.

So, anyone else want to own up to your geekdom?

The last game I played on one of the gaming machines was Emerald Mines on the Amiga CD32.
Then I progressed onto a PC.
Since then I've played lots of games.
I loved the Call of Duty games, great fun on line.
At the moment I'm playing Overlord. So much fun sending your minions off to fight for you.

I also enjoyed the Grand Theft Auto games, and HalfLife, and Doom, and Quake, and .................................

Ahhh Doom. I remeber when that game first came out, everyone at my high school went nutty for that game. I can still hear them in the halls.."YOU CAN USE CHAINSAWS!" lol. The first night I played that I was with a buddy, and we played way after dawn.

There was another game we played all the way til morning. "Bart vs. The Aliens"? Something like that. Not sure what console it was on.

ah the memories. i play video games on my 360 now but i can remember having an atari 2600 and enjoying the pixelated madness. you know honestly i never got what the big deal about pong was. i couldn't enjoy. but i loved tank, pitfall, donkey kong, etc. then i became a nintendo junkie. super mario bros, metroid, mike tyson's punch out, zelda, etc. eventually the ps came out and i started up with that one. ridge racer, tomb raider, resident evil were the games i played and still do. eventually the last nintendo console i had was the gamecube and the only games i had for it were the zelda games, resident evil remake and 0. that's it. after that i became a nintendo hater. they weren't putting out the games i would love. nintendo was way to childish, and i felt they let me down. i still enjoy the old games but the later games were crap to me. so obviously i hate the wii. yes i have played the wii and loathe it. just an update on the old powerglove. but most of the fun games i've had have been for the ps2 and the original xbox which i've now replaced with the xbox 360. as for pc the only games i've actually played were wolfenstein 3d which i "borrowed" a copy from the school i was going to. they had the whole game on a pc there and everyone was taking their own discs to copy the game and take it home. the other ones are the doom games. i spent hours on many of those games. what's funny is that i've tried playing one of the old doom games that came with doom 3 resurrection of evil and i now get dizzy. i can't even play it but i can play doom 3 without getting sick.

Yea, I'm kind of a perennial nerd, though I'm picky about games these days. Favorites of mine were Castlevania on the NES, Doom and the Half-Life Series on the PC. I also dabbled in WoW for a while before I figured it was a waste of time and thats saying a lot coming from a nerd with a lot of time on my hands...

And Punch out, one of my all time favs. Who could forget Glass joe, Piston Honda, King Hippo, Bald Bull, Soda Popinski, Mr. Sandman, and Super Macho Man lol. I remeber how much I tried and tried to beat Tyson, and the day came when I got the win.

Wait you loved ET. your the first person i've ever heard say that. everyone i've talked to loathes that game. tons of unsold cartridges of the game were buried in a landfill. yikes.

as for mike tyson that guy was cheap. one hard punch and you were out. i remember taking forever to beat him mainly cuz i was studying his every move. memorizing him step by step and it helped. i finally defeated that guy and i remember jumping up and down and yelling obscenities at mike tyson cuz i beat him. i remember discovering that if you timed it just right you could knock the guy down as he was charging at you. he would back away, do some kind of weird body movements and then come bounding towards you. at the right moment i would just throw a quick punch to his guts and he would go down. this worked all the time but you had to time it just right.

i remember in the first zelda game finishing the game and then discovering i hadn't. there was another game i had to play.

    LOL, yep, I loved E.T  .

Also, can anyone here names some good RPG games for the PS2? I just bought Kingdom Hearts & Bully, but I'm looking for other ideas. Also, does anyone know if you can have ECW as a brand in the Raw vs. Smackdown 2007 game?

Oh hell yes! The Golden Axe series rocked. The only one I didn't really like was the third one, but thats because I never really played it much.

i love golden axe, arcade version is the best.

i recently got the aoe collector's edition. (it includes aoe, ror, aoe2 gold). i've been playing throught that, but i'm still on the first one. i also have aoe 3 + twc expansion. so i have all the games of the series and i put them all on 1 dvd like i do with other franchises. (like tomb raider, the blizzard strategy games, and doom3).
