i loved arcade games. the only thing i didn't like was when someone was over my shoulder watching me play. i would lose my concentration. especially when i was playing dragon's lair at the chuck e. cheese or the skateland. there was always some doofus telling me what i had to do. what's worse was when i was playing some fighting game and i was trying to play alone to learn the moves. then some asshole would show up and break out his over the top combos and kick me out. i could never learn cuz of those asses.

oh man, i just played motorstorm for ps3 and it frickin kicks ass! anyone else played it?
the gameplay was 10/10 and so were the visuals, and it was only on a 480p, i can't imagine how incredible it would look on 1080p!

I have a few arcade machines in my spare room, that my friends have dubbed "The Getaway". I have Mortal Kombat, Mortal Kombat 2, Mortal Kombat 3, and TMNT. I got them all for $150 each from a pawn shop in Pryor Oklahoma. I think they where pretty good buys.

I've played the shit out of MK2 :axe:

that reminds me of my cousin's apartment/loft, whatever he calls it, in houston. he doesn't have a name for the room but besides a pool table he has mortal kombat, crossbow, donkey kong, pac man, ms. pacman, one of the super street fighter games, killer instinct, super mario bros. , tron, and popeye.
he's been trying to buy more. some of games were at about 100 to 200 dollars but the others were more, tron cost him 600 dollars. he's found them at indoor flea markets and theres this place that sells them and repairs them. right now he's trying to find the dragon's lair games. it's too bad i don't live anywhere near him cuz i'd probably be in that room all the time.

All time favourite game: "Soccer Brawl", on the Neo Geo. Robots playing a violent version of soccer. Great.
Favourite on a modern console: "Earth Defence Force 2017", on the Xbox 360. Blowing away, giant bugs, huge robots and flying saucers. It can't be beat.
