Registered user getting no images.

I've been aregistered user for over a year and have plenty of postings to my credit. Today I can't view any images. This worked last month and now not. Any ideas as to why?

Often logging out, deleting your cookies, setting your privacy/security settings to medium, and logging back in solves this problem

i read something where some ppl were complaining about how "notorious" the famous board is cuz of these new members problems with images & whatnot...
i wonder if any of these types of "problems" could be solved if mike just upgraded the board to phpbb3...

well, it had been discussed, before you got here i think. mike decided against it, i guess cuz he figured it would take one week for the database to be converted to phpbb3's format. but according to wikipedia, this stuff isn't good news for phpbb2:

The latest release in the 2.0.x line is 2.0.23 which was released on February 17, 2008. Releases in the 2.0.x line are restricted to bug and security fixes only.

Although the phpBB teams are now focusing on phpBB3, they continue to offer support for phpBB2 installations, and will issue a further release of phpBB2 if bugs or security fixes warrant it. However, the PHP Group recently announced that they will be dropping all support for PHP 4 on August 8, 2008, and as a result the phpBB team announced the 2.0.x series would be completely retired, with all official support concluding on February 1, 2009.

I did all of those things, twice, and still no images.

This is a problem with Netscape 7.2 which I normally use. It also happens in Firefox and Explorer that I have never used to view this board. So cookies should not have been a problem with the latter two.

It sounds like a problem with the board not recognizing me as someone who has already posted more than enough photos.

Try regestering as a new member, different name and Email. Post a picture and see what happens.

I did all of that. Got 2 new user names. Confirmed one, posted, signed out, signed in and still no photos for the new user. Still seems to be an internal problem.

It would seem to be a problem of your computer blocking our cookie. Have you checked that?

Yes. I have erased 7 or so cookies 3 different times. I tell Netscape to accept all cookies from your site and still nothing. Each time I erase the files they show up the next time so I know the computer IS accepting the cookies.

Yes, Firefox and Explorer do not work either.

I will try the new server but here is a quirk.

Some how Apple downloaded Safari on my computer. It's their version of a web browser. And it works! When Netscape, IE and Firefox show nothing, Safari works.

Does that offer any clues?

I went to this site and it works and displays pics.

So I went into ZoneAlarm 6.0.667.0.0 and found where the dl.celebsdb.com is listed. I changed the settings for all green checks and then erased it completely and it did not work. That is in the Privacy|Site List section.

Even though I have the Windows firewall turned off I checked and could find nothing that would block your site.

Did I miss something or go to the wrong place?
