not really fake related, but IMDB notes that Don S Davis died yesterday. he was 65.

That's an untimely end for someone who lent real authority to his commanding officer roles. (He was the only cast member of the Stargate franchise, an Air Force-based series, with any actual related experience, as a former U.S. Army Captain.)

thats right! i remember seeing him on SG1 (i don't watch it, i just noticed him in passing). i knew that i remembered him from somewhere, but i couldn't place him. he played scully's father on the x-files! i should have remembered that, considering i just bought season 1 of the x-files & finished watching it the other day.
