on one of the boards i used to belong to it was called 'kudos' instead of 'thank you'...

I hope there was not too much work in adding the thanks button........as its a pretty useless novelty in my opinion........cannot see too many people bothering to check you who thanked who......

..I just discovered this new "Thanks" button. I think I would rather have a comment posted on my work, good or bad. Personally, I feel the number of "Veiws" does the same thing. It's a stupid idea..

no one is advocating that anyone stop commenting on posts if it is warranted. this ONLY relates to thanking someone for posting.

Haha! I think in the first few days the Thanks button was available, I went in to a few threads and started using it on old posts, one in particular - the Lia19 Ashely Ryan thread, thanking you AGAIN (not by post reply or PM) for a bunch of the posts you made. But I can definitely understand how you feel, I've only been thanked once, myself.

As mentioned before I am not the greatest fan of the thanks button.......I would rather see lurkers post one pic rather than 100 thanks ...which don't count for anything unless the thank you is coming from a member of the board who is an active member that you are familiar with..........then its worthwhile

i think we would all prefer that but we can't control what members will do. of course, as has been stated, one of the ideas behind this feature is that some members are more likely to thank other members for posts than to ever post something of value themselves. (i.e. a picture set).

All the new improvement really help the board......only noticed the colors for the online status...........if red is signed out and yellow is signed in what is green...? or is the yellow only for your own use and green for everybody else..??

yellow = hidden

I am signed in as hidden so my own icon is yellow.............which I can obviously see........now that you mentioned it I haven't noticed anyone else with yellow so you are right in that only the mods know........cheers and thanks
