    how long between posts?

how long should you wait to make a new post in a topic where you are the last post, and that post can still be edited? Some members seem to think its all right to post a pic and then 3 or 4 hrs later post another, great for ones post count but it clutters up the board. I think we need a rule what do the mods think?

We try to use a rule of thumb of 1 day...however someone might post 4 pics of a girl from one set, then later post 3 pics from another set. I usually let something like that slide. God knows that we have better things to do than harass people who are actually contributing

Quite agree.......I believe that members can edit their own posts for up to 72 Hrs.
You may have noticed that where we find these posts the Mods are obliged to combine them accompanied with a polite request that
the member does not repeat the offence.
It is one of the reasons that members find that their post count suddenly drops.
We have a rule that covers this point......see 7(e)

    7. (a) New users (with 0 posts) are not allowed to post in topics which have 5 pages or more.
....(b) Your first post must include a valid, on topic, attachment/link.
....(c) Your first post can't contain an unidentifiable pic, otherwise it will be deleted!
....(d) Do not post thumbnails, unless it is used as a preview to an archive.
....(e) You can attach up to 15 pics per post and should do so to save space in a topic. Frequent posts in the same topic on the same day with just a few pics should be combined or will be deleted.

edit: see how nice BB is compared to other mods.

When I go on a posting run I usually edit the posts if they are within 2 - 3 hours....see salma hayek emma watson today........however after 4 hours I start a new one as by then i may have had 20 or more posts in between.

Also the fact that you can only post 15 pics per post also has a lot to do with it.....see sophia raworth fake thread today as an example..8 in first post and 13 in the second....no way to fit both into one post

i think members should always edit their posts to add to them as long as it is possible to edit them. i know i always do that with my own posts.

And for those of us that spend more time in the Internet Models forum it is a totally different situation as we hope for members to find as much of sets as possible before posting. Spud and Turtle would agree. Very different posting in the two main forums. We all do the best we can.

could you reiterate that? i don't understand how posting in one section is any different than posting in another section.

so he is trying to say that it is more convenient to have separate posts for separate pic sets &amp videos... things like that? i could understand that. i prefer to do it like this though:

We could post clips, but with a 4 MB limit, so the clips would need to be broken down into parts, as many as perhaps 10. When we posted them we would time out, so posting one 38 ,MB clip would require 10 posts.
We have come a long way.
so i've noticed on some of the oldest posts... that would have sucked!

To clarify - BB posts mostly Celebs as he finds pictures as do others in that forum. By contrast on the Internet Models side we hope to have posters post full sets locally or host them on Imagevenue or another reliable non-spam site and then post a link to a full set on RS or MU. Video must be a link to a hosting site. When I was just a poster in 2005, I wrote BB that I had 7.5GB posted locally but my post count was way less than his. He had a hard time believing that my User ACP showed that but it was due to the density of all the video I was posting.

If you want to see the greatest effort I've ever seen by a poster from the old days, visit the Milena Velba thread and go back to about page 10. This guy posted the "Milena Milk" video that was 500MB+. I think our local limit on vids was 5MB at that time before it went to 4MB and then was banned. He posted for four days and it covered about ten pages but he got it done.

    An immense effort!

Because I haven't been here as much over the last year I wasn't aware he was gone. An amazing poster of FTV and Hegre and Met-Art girls. I had some great conversations with him. We also seem to have lost mikeusa who was a major poster in the WP girls with Kimble and Turtle and me and was the biggest poster in the Milena thread.
