Born in Montreal in 1949, Dayle Haddon became a professional ballet dancer in her early teens. Once she turned 18, she went on to win the Miss Montreal pageant. This led to a successful modeling career where Dayle even graced the cover of Sports Illustrated. She later moved to Hollywood and auditioned for film parts. Disney quickly hired her for the movie The World's Greatest Athlete. Disney was eager to put her in more of their movies, but a pictorial spread done for Playboy immediately killed that idea. Haddon then moved overseas to work in sexy European films.

In 1991 Dayle's husband died, leaving her and her teenage daughter destitute. Unable to afford to live in her house, she had to rent it out and pay rent to live in her friend's small maid's room. Looking for work, employers considered her to be too old to model, dance, or act. Through her friend, she found a job at a small advertising agency. Dayle quit that job when she realized that a coyote in a car commercial her employer was working on was receiving more pay than she was. After being constantly rejected, Haddon was finally hired as a spokesperson for Clairol. Dayle then landed several modeling gigs for Estee Lauder. The very day her contract with Lauder expired, she was hired by their competitor, L'Oreal. Today, Dayle Haddon runs a successful company that caters beauty products to the untapped older demographic.
