thirdly, i don't think nightlite is necessarily correct. i think people that would be interested would seek free alternatives like GIMP. i always encourage the use of FOSS (free open source software). i always encourage the use of GIMP whenever i can too.

photoshop is not free (but of course that doesn't mean it can't be gotten other ways), photoshop is not FOSS, and it is not cross-platform compatible.

GIMP is the best free photo creation/manipulation software there is imo &amp most people's opinions. it is in active development and getting better with every release.
