Thought remembered a while back that this file sharing host was banned from here? can anyone confirm?

I've noticed most of the celeb/model style forums have now banned them as its a profit making file host that seems to attract alot of unwanted attention for spyware problems.

I use as well as this site some other celeb/model forums, Proving Grounds.com, Optical.net forums, Forumophilia etc and most now have stopped allowing Depositfiles, due to there poor service to free customers. Gold account customers which is there basic pay package gives the hoster money everytime he/she shares a new link on forums. Hence people are profiting on free sites like this by sharing new links to there content on Depositfiles.com. I would rather pay donations to sites like this to help with bandwidth costs that someone basically profiting from downloading paysite material then loading it on there own fileshost sites.

I personally have no problem adding it to the banned host list.

Iv'e not had too much trouble with it myself.
I just selected a file to try it and after a 60 second wait and one popup to party poker, it gave me the download option.
For the 393mb file I selected, it's now downloading at 148kb/sec and will take an estimated 41mins.

I prefer rapidshare or megaupload, but I'll try anything if it's something I'm after.

It's not an ideal host, but I guess they all have to pay for themselves somehow.

Didn't we have a list of rapidshare alternatives somewhere?
