REMEMBER when the whole family sat around the table for supper...no excuses.
REMEMBER when Astroids was state-of-the-art? Pong?
Remember when there were only 3 TV stations?
Remember when, if you had a 2nd TV set, it was black and white.
Remember when turning 16 DIDN'T mean you immediately got your own car?
Remember when comic books were only a quarter?
Remember when you went on vacation in the ol' station wagon...lying in the back with your coloring books and not a seatbelt in sight.
    Remember phone booths?

Every generation thinks the next one has it handier....but I personally believe the difference between the generations now is probably the biggest divide ever....

the contrasts between nowdays and that of 20 - 30 years ago is huge.......technologically, morally, medically , sexually.......
I am only 41....and my niece cannot believe we had only one tv channel, black & white tv.......no pc's.....she was shocked as to how I passed my time as a kid

REMEMBER when Astroids was state-of-the-art? Pong? And trying to put spin on it, that never worked
Remember when there were only 3 TV stations? That went off at 10pm, then watching the white dot
Remember when, if you had a 2nd TV set, it was black and white. With NO remote control!!
Remember when turning 16 DIDN'T mean you immediately got your own car? I had to work for 2 years to save up and get my own.
Remember when comic books were only a quarter? 3d in English money, half my pocket money
Remember when you went on vacation in the ol' station wagon...lying in the back with your coloring books and not a seatbelt in sight. Never had a family car for holidays, Mums brother had to take us, and that broke down on the way.
Remember phone booths? Only used for emergencies.

    You youngsters.
Remember when a loaf bread was 20 cents
    A gallon of gas 24.9
    Cigaretts 22 cents a pack.
Everyone listened to the radio dramas because there was no television outside of the big cities
    beer was 3.75 a case
    Levies were 4 dollars
If you had a phone it was a party line.
The phone company owned all phones and rented them to you...and they never broke.
snow tires were made with sawdust and only lasted 5000 miles.
100 dollars a week was excellent pay, and if you made 10,000 a year you were RICH!!!
