    Screen Capturing

Here's my problem, and its killing me. I have some videos that I downloaded in .avi, and I want to share some screenshots from them. Problem is, when I do a screenshot (Fn + Prnt Scrn) then paste it into MS Paint, once I go to save it, the image disappears.

Anyone know how to solve this problem?

Sorry but it took me forever to figure out how to do a screen capture, so knowledge about taking vid caps escapes me

ImageGrabber II is another good freeware, but the Media Player Clasic is so easy for a beginner

My new capture software of choice is CyberLink's Power DVD 6. It's not free, but I got mine fairly reasonable. I like the ability to fast forward and back at several speeds, and once you get where you want to go, the frame-by-frame advance is pretty smooth. The only drawback is every snapshot is saved as a .bmp. No biggy really since I fire up Irfanview and batch process all into .jpgs in a snap. Irfanview is freeware and in my experience one of the handiest of all programs. I use it constantly to resize, or even something as simple as flipping a picture.
    Sig pic gone.
