    A Serious Point: London's Tragedy

The few people here that know me know that as a rule I try to stay away from anything serious and live in my own little self contained world of bondage and depravity however I feel compelled to take a moment and pass on my condolences to the friends and families of the victims of the bombings here in London on 07/07/05.
Innocent people taken from this life by a barbaric act of Extremism.

Thankfully, my friends and family were unscathed by these atrocities but I know many others weren't so lucky.
My deepest sympathies to everyone who lost someone.

Indeed. Our free societies enjoy, for the most part, freedom from random murder of innocents. We also are able to enjoy things like this Board. As much as many dislike the current leadership in Washington, can you imagine life with the people like those bombers in charge.

I can't put into words the outrage I feel towards these atrocities and those who committed them! Let me just say that I mourn for those who were lost, they will not be forgotten! I offer my condolences to the families and friends of the victims! Gardwin my friend, I'm very happy that you and yours are unharmed! Be careful and please stay safe!

I really wanted to post something about this but I wasn't sure it was appropriate so I'm glad Gardwin did. The sympathy of this whole nation goes out to the friends and families of those killed and injured and to all the people of Great Britain. We have been the closest of friends and allies for many years and whatever hurts you hurts us. Many menbers of this board are Brits and I've had great conversations with several and it pains me greatly that these cowards attacked innocent people like this.

I echo the sympathies of everyone else here. Personally I feel the same way I felt on 9/11 when the US was attacked. For some reason it didn't feel like another country, it felt like my own. Maybe because I know so many people over there from the online community and because we have been allies for so many years. My heart goes out to all those personally effected by this outrage.

I'm truely sad and sorry for those who lost their loved ones in this bombing.

What makes this worse is the idea that this tragedy might not have happend if Bush had just stuck to the "war on terrorism" and not the "war on Saddam".
    Everybody smiles in Snotsville.....OR ELSE!!!

Many thanks to all who have expressed their feelings about this here and across the World.
Today, at exactly 12:00 midday our time, London and the rest of our country held a 2 minute silence as a mark of respect for those we lost and to show solidarity that we will not be beaten or intimidated.
Now, here is a message (from me) to all those responsible for this:

Take a lesson from the history books. No terrorist or dictator has ever been able to destroy the Heart and Passion of this Great Britain, regardless of how many bombs or armies have been sent against us.
You tried, you failed and you will continue to fail.

Come and have a go if you think you're hard enough!
