    Fired for Posing Nude

Women in the news that were fired for posing nude. I'm focusing on PB but others are welcomed. A subject that interests me since we are now living under harsh times and of all the things to lose your job over. I also would like to know if they ever bounced back from this setback, how they are doing now, etc.
This first one I find the most distressing. She lost her gun and badge for posing. In the cop world, most would rather get shot than lose their LEO job. I wonder if she ever recovered from this.

    Carol Shaya
In 1994, at time of the staging of her Playboy pictorial, Shaya was 24 years old and a patrol officer in the 45th precinct in the Bronx. Shaya appeared in the August 1994 issue, in a partly open New York City police uniform jacket on the cover of the magazine, labeled "NYPD NUDE", and naked in a layout inside. The pictorial involved her using nightstick, handcuffs, and uniform in erotic and staged arrest scenes. She received US$100,000 for the pictorial.
At first reports of the appearance, the New York City Police Department attempted to ignore the incident, but then gradually took escalating measures.[1] In July 1994, Shaya was reassigned to a desk job at the Bronx Borough Command, not as a disciplinary action, but due to other female officers in her precinct complaining about verbal harassment from residents, who were asking about Officer Shaya's location and comparing them to her. On October 28, the NYPD filed departmental charges against Shaya, for unauthorized off-duty employment and improper use of her uniform and the Police Department logo.[8] A police panel recommended a month's suspension, but the final decision was left to the New York City Police Commissioner. On March 7, 1995, Commissioner William J. Bratton dismissed Shaya, now using her married name Shaya-Castro, from the New York City police department. Bratton ruled that Shaya-Castro's appearance in Playboy violated the City Charter and the department's rules, so she was unfit to be a police office. He also cited her record, which included only three arrests in four years.
In response, Shaya-Castro sued the department for US$10,000,000 for wrongful dismissal and gender discrimination. In her claim, she said that other, male, officers who appeared in pornographic films, not just softcore pictorials, were merely suspended, and not fired. She also said that her assignments to non-patrolling duties, such as typing and driving other officers, precluded many arrests. Her lawsuit was criticized by Stanley Crouch in an American Enterprise Institute speech. The case, Shaya-Castro v. New York City Police Department, 649 N.Y.S.2d 711 ., was decided against her, and upheld on appeal.
NYPD Nude, a documentary on Shaya's story, aired on British television Channel 4, on March 11, 1995.

At first, the Job just wanted the Shaya mess to go away. Originally, the Job was ignoring it, she was not even transferred at first. I think Bratton was hoping that it would fade away from the papers. It probably would have, but Shaya kept giving interviews and ending up on TV or the papers, and during one interview, she even made corruption allegations. She made herself very hard to ignore.

    Fired for posing in Playboy
    Heather Hull
Heather Hull was fired in March for having photographs published in Playboy.
In the case of Hull, officials said, another prison officer alerted prison officials that Hull’s photographs were shown in the Playboy.
The local photographer who took the photographs said Hull, like many women who are in Playboy, was hoping to get a career in modeling or acting.
But what doesn’t make sense is that she didn’t realize before that this would likely cause a problem for her at work.
The prison has a lot of rules. Officers are always getting in trouble for violating them.
Hull apparently thought that she would not be penalized at the prison for work that was done outside her job. Hull said she did everything she could to make sure she was not recognized in the pictorial. She had dyed her hair brown and used her maiden name.
    But the inmates read Playboy.
And it’s possible that some of the inmates that she was supervising saw the photographs.
In addition to the photographs, there was a short write-up in Playboy.Hull used the name Ann Reinoehl.
    Here is an excerpt:
Playboy: What does working in the big house entail:
Ann: You have to keep your eye on 100 people. We have male and female inmates. There is a lot of movement as the convicts are shifted around from classes to services to feeding to recreation and showers.
Playboy: What made you get into this line of work?
Ann: I am not the secretary type. Before this I worked in a coal mine, and I also used to work at a steel mill.
There is also the issue of Hull’s Constitutional rights to do as she pleases on her free time as long as it’s not illegal.
Her lawyer, Mark Featherman, of Philadelphia, said the Teamsters Union vowed to fight to get her job back.
    Featherman said:
“I have never heard of anything quite like this before. I’ve heard of people being fired for a number of reasons, but never for posing in magazine.
“If a woman wants to pose in Playboy on her private time, that is her business. She should not be fired. What next?”

Oxnard science teacher Stacie Halas, once known as ‘Tiffany Six,’ fired over her porno past

It was a question of “moral turpitude.” That’s what school officials said before firing Oxnard middle school teacher Stacie Halas, 31, for once being a porn star known as “Tiffany Six.”
Halas was first removed from the classroom after the discovery was made early last month. But the decision was made final last night by the Oxnard School District board of trustees, the Ventura County Star reports.
According to the Star, trustees first met behind closed doors last night to discuss the personnel matter, then eventually school board president Veronica Robles-Solis emerged to announce they had voted unanimously to not reinstate Halas.
School officials agreed the now-former science teacher at Haydock Intermediate School committed no crime in being in the videos. Under normal circumstances, what teachers do in their free time is their own business -- and anyway, Halas’ movies were reportedly made years ago in San Diego, before she ever joined the district.
But according to reports, word of the teacher’s racy past emerged among the seventh- and eighth-graders she was teaching, causing furtive whispering, giggling and texting, probably.
“We’re dealing with the disruption that we believe it would cause our district and the schools in our district if she were to return back to the classroom,” Superintendent Jeff Chancer told the Star. Chancer is also the one credited with saying, back in March, “Maybe it’s not a crime as far as the penal code is concerned, but we feel it's a crime as far as moral turpitude is concerned.”
Halas has 30 days to appeal the decision.
Just how many movies Halas made back in the day was not immediately clear -- though she is mentioned in connection with something called “Big Sausage Pizza.”
A Google search of “Tiffany Six” (we did it so you don’t have to) seems to indicate that Halas had been busy, with several movie titles under her belt, as it were.

MAY 22--The California teacher fired last month after her former career as a porn actress was discovered by pupils and school administrators once spoke openly about her work as an educator in behind-the-scenes footage included in one of her X-rated films.
Stacie Halas, 31, worked as a science teacher at a public school in Oxnard, where the local school board voted unanimously to can her after learning that she had starred in an array of hardcore porn films (some of which were discovered online by her students at Richard B. Haydock Intermediate School, where Halas began working in 2009).
In announcing Halas’s firing school administrators spoke of their concern about disruptions that could result from her return to the classroom.
Halas has appealed the school board’s ruling and, as a result, will get a hearing before a three-member panel headed by an administrative law judge, according to Oxnard schools superintendent Jeff Chancer, who added that Halas remains on the district’s payroll.
Pictured at right, Halas filmed dozens of explicit films between 2005-2007, including one titled “No Cum Dodging Allowed #7.” The 2006 film, which shows Halas engaged with up to four men at a time, includes interview footage with her before action began at a private residence in California.
In the behind-the-scenes clip, Halas, who used the stage name “Tiffany Six,” is asked by the interviewer whether her film career was “risky.” “It is risky, very risky for me. ‘Cause I am a teacher,” answered Halas, who was then working at a California public school (where she was employed prior to her Oxnard teaching post).
When asked if she was worried about people learning of her explicit films, she answered, “A little bit.” As for why she did the pornos, Halas answered, “Money, and it’s fun, it’s exciting.”
The male interviewer, who was questioning a clothed Halas in a backyard, envisioned the day when her students learned of her X-rated canon. “You’ll see it on the young boys’s faces,” he said. While Halas laughed, she noted, “It’s a concern.”
When the man mentioned a teacher who got into trouble for engaging in sex acts with “young kids,” Halas laughed, “Well, at least I didn’t do the students.” She later added, “I have to say I’m not into the students, though. At least I don’t do that.” After the interviewer remarked that the teacher deserved a trophy (and called one boy's parents "the biggest cockblockers on earth" for reporting the abuse), Halas laughed heartily and said, “That’s awesome.”
Halas was then asked, “Do you think if they find out you’ll get fired?” She answered, “Questionable, probably.” The interviewer then asked if she had worked really hard to get her teaching post. “I did work really hard,” said Halas.
At the interview’s conclusion, Halas was asked what had brought her to porn. “I think it’s just the excitement, doing something different. That you’re not supposed to do, maybe. I don’t know. Kinda weird.” Halas is pictured at right in a screen grab from the video.
Halas then is seen on the video’s following 45 minutes engaging in a wide variety of sexual acts with an assortment of actors, including one who uses the stage name “Arnold Schwartzenpecker.”
While Halas only appears in a small photo on the video’s cover, she has the cover to herself in the videos “Anal Cumsumption #5” and “Super Size My Snatch #2.” On “Girls Hunting Girls #10,” she shares the cover with two actresses, one of whom is Bree Olson, who subsequently gained notoriety as one of Charlie Sheen’s “goddesses.”

H.R. departments, however, were not humored. The real controversy surrounding "Women of Wall Street" unfolded in the financial service offices where the women who lent their assets to the pictorial were employed. Shortly after the issue hit newsstands, Time Magazine caught up with Playboy's Wall Street ladies. The magazine discovered that seven of the nine workers featured in the cover story left their jobs. One of the three brokers in the issue went back to school. Things really didn't work out so well for Robin Mormelo, an administrative assistant and mother of two from New Jersey. She told the USA Today: "I want to be a centerfold and make a lot of money" (a blurb in the USA Today notes Playboy centerfolds were paid $15,000 at the time). A few months later, Mormelo was denied raises by her firm and quit, reports Time.

I don't know which seven so here is all of them

Jean Jani (sometimes listed as Norma Jean Jani) was one of Playboy's early centerfolds, appearing in the July 1957 issue of the magazine. This Ohio-born beauty was portrayed as a sexy stewardess for United Airlines in the pages of Playboy, but in actuality she was a reservations clerk. Regardless, her appearance in Playboy cost her her job.

Patricia Margot McClain got in trouble for posing for PB, nearly twenty years after the fact! It's one thing to get the heave-ho or disciplinary action on the spot once the issue hits the newsstand, but after all that time?!In 1996, McClain's firing from her office manager job at a pest extermination company made national news. When she was first hired, she disclosed her playmate past to her employers and was told to keep quiet about it to her co-workers due to the company's sexual harassment policy. She was fired one month after Playboy published the book, Playboy Magazine: Five Decades of Centerfolds. Her lawsuit gained much media attention including segments on Dateline and American Journal, and the lawsuit was settled for an undisclosed sum. After the firing, she worked for Playboy in their editing department and took the occasional modeling gig.

    Julie Michelle McCullough
She was Playboy magazine's Playmate of the Month for February 1986. In 1989, officials of North Carolina's Azalea Festival stripped Julie McCullough of her crown as Azalea Queen of Wilmington, because of controversy surrounding her appearance as a Playboy centerfold. Later she played "Julie Costello" on Growing Pains until she was fired on series regular Kirk Cameron's insistence, for having posed nude in Playboy magazine.

Julie McCullough landed the role of nanny Julie Costello on the television show Growing Pains in 1989. She appeared in eight episodes until she was fired in 1990, which stemmed from series star Kirk Cameron's conversion to evangelical Christianity, a conversion that, according to The E! True Hollywood Story episode focusing on the show, served to alienate him from his fellow cast members, as he did not invite any of them to his wedding. He called for McCullough's termination because of his objections to her having posed nude in Playboy, and accused the show's producers of promoting pornography. A decade later, Cameron apologized to his TV family, attributing his prior behavior to his lack of maturity, but did not reconcile with McCullough, who claims that Cameron refused to speak to her during a later encounter, and who remains critical of him, stating that she lost a lot from the public criticism she endured from the controversy. Although McCullough herself is Catholic, she has criticized the evangelical television programming Cameron has produced, which she has viewed on one occasion, saying on her MySpace page:
“ He thinks if I read science books that I'm going to hell. [I would] rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints ... the sinners are much more fun. And a lot more interesting than some book-burner who is still having growing pains. I am at peace with God. Kirk thinks people like me are going to Hell, if I do then at least I'll go well informed and well read. ” After the Growing Pains scandal, McCullough made several television appearances on Beverly Hills, 90210, Jake and the Fatman, Harry and the Hendersons and Drexell's Class.
McCullough now works as a stand-up comedian, and has performed at the Hollywood Improv, the Palms Hotel and Casino, and the Laugh Factory.

I think she could have made it on her own as an actress without PB. A pity.

Sergeant Bambi Lin Finney, 22, is the first Marine ever drummed from the corps for being out of uniform. The reason was that Bambi was way out: she wasn't even wearing her dog tags when she turned up in the latest Playboy as the ranking person in an all-service picture spread on women of the armed forces. Marine brass took one look at Bambi's exposed position and decided she had been sensually infidelis; after four years and five months in the service, the Teletype technician was given an "administrative discharge" even though her enlistment had nine more months to run. Would the Marines be just as tough in the case of a male who appeared in, say, a Playgirl centerfold? Yessir, said a corps spokesman, "We're not sexist."

    Re: Fired for Posing Nude

Barbara Schantz was a police officer in Springfield, Ohio when she appeared nude in the May 1982 issue of Playboy. Her pictorial was photographed by the famous staff photographer Pompeo Posar.
She was born in Enon, Ohio. According to the text in the issue, she married at 17, divorced less than two years later and had a son. She joined the Springfield police force in 1979. At that time there were only two women in the force; there were 148 men.
The text continues to tell that Schantz had contacted Playboy. She had sent them some pictures of her and suggested that they do a pictorial about women in the force. It is not clear if the pictures Schantz sent were nude or not. She further states that the magazine called her back and told her they wanted to do a pictorial on her.
At the time of the writing of her article, she had stated that there could be proceedings brought against her for posing nude. She later was fired from the force. Her story was made into the 1983 movie Policewoman Centerfold featuring Melody Anderson in a somewhat fictionalized portrayal of Schantz.

Lindsey Marshal is 19 year old teen from Canada. She's still attending college but wants to become a dancer and model. That's why she started a softcore website to pay her bills. She also was a member of the well known cheerleader dance group called Raptors Girls. As soon as the Raptors found out about her nude site, she was fired from the cheerleading squad.

'Pawn Stars' shop girl Olivia Black fired after her porn site past is revealed

    Published December 20, 2012

“Pawn Stars” and porn pics apparently don’t mix.

Gold and Silver Pawn Shop employee Olivia Black was reportedly fired from the store after nude photos of her surfaced online.

“Well s**t....I was just fired,” the 27-year-old posted on Facebook.

Black then posted a link to a Radar Online article about her dismissal that states her firing came after photos were printed in the National Enquirer that revealed her racy past. Black reportedly worked for the soft-core porn website SuicideGirls.com back in 2008 before she started working at the pawn shop about a year ago.

But it seems she has no hard feelings toward her former coworkers.

“Nay, sadly this is not a joke....I no longer work for Gold and Silver Pawn Shop, it has been a whirlwind of a year, and now I must move on,” she wrote on Facebook. “Just as simple as downsizing. It is of no fault of the guys. I still adore my bosses fully!!!”

Wednesday it seemed as though she was moving on after she tweeted, “The tear[s] have dried and the smiles have returned, I'm fortunate to have worked for ‘Pawn Stars’ at all."

Now, it seems she is backtracking.

"I wanted to take the time to let everyone know, I posted the links about me being let go because I thought the stories were funny. I am in no way shape or form stating that is the reason I was let go," she posted on Facebook Thursday, according to an E! report. "I hope you all have a glorious day!!!!! Thank you for all of the love and support!"

A&E Networks had no comment on Black's dismissal.

I think she is a perfect example of nude pics in her past catching up to her with unfortunate consequences.
