Church confirms she is pregnant
Charlotte Church is in the early stages of pregnancy
Singer and TV presenter Charlotte Church has confirmed she is expecting a baby with her Welsh rugby star boyfriend Gavin Henson.
The 21-year-old's management confirmed the news on her website, saying the pair were "delighted" at the news.
They said she had been forced to reveal her pregnancy because of press rumours.
"Charlotte felt she had no choice other than to go public, and she was keen to ensure that her fans had the opportunity to read the truth."
No other details have been released other than she is in "early pregnancy".
Newspaper stories at the weekend speculated she may be expecting because she did not drink alcohol during recent celebrations for her 21st birthday.
Church has been dating Henson for two years, following failed relationships with boyfriends that went on to sell their stories to the tabloids.
In February 2006, Church appeared on Davina McCall's BBC One chat show, and revealed how she would accept if Henson asked her to marry him.
A month later, Henson told Jonathan Ross on his BBC One show that he hoped Church would propose to him.
Despite this, neither of them have announced an engagement.
