The rules seem to have changed since I resumed posting. They now say that the image should not exceed 750 wide by 550 high. This means that I have to reduce the size of most of my posts.

Incorrect! The rule has not changed. The rule applies to those pics that are not thumbs. Your clicky thumb can open to as large as a pic that you desire. Pics that are posted as full size cannot exceed 750 x 550 (width x height).

The rule is as follows:
"6. Don’t post full size pics (Hotlink). Maximum size for attached images is [750 x 550 (width x height)]. Don’t post thumbnails as pics. Post your pics as clickable thumbnails using one of our approved image hosts, (list below).
Thumbnails should be at least 100 pixels wide for viewability. Thumbnails must be an accurate preview of the whole larger image (not cropped)."
