yep on sept. 1 on the tapings for ecw and smackdown. morrison lost the title to cm punk. you can watch that match this tuesday night on sci fi. as for smackdown an i quit match was held between chavo guerrero and rey mysterio. mysterio won the match. bye bye chavo. as for cryme tyme......WWE released Cryme Tyme because of a backstage disagreement after the finish of the match with Cade & Murdoch the other night went wrong. The match in question ended in a countout on JTG. Reports say the match was shorter than usual. The finish of their bout saw an odd countout finish although JTG had made it back to the ring, followed by Cryme Time attacking the referee of the bout and removing his belt for "auction" to the audience.

here are some spoilers for the raw tapings. i won't post every match that took place, just the ones that really mattered.
jeff hardy defeats umaga for the ic title (na na na na hey hey goodbye umaga)
regal announces that randy has been given the night off but orton still shows via sattellite. cena shows up and beats the crap out of regal (why?) and regal is then taken away by ambulance. (is this the last we'll see of regal for a while?)

paul london and brian kendrick defeat the world's greatest tag team for the titles. bye bye charlie haas?

They aired a video about CM Punk and his desire to be champion. In the segment he says something like "I don't smoke, I don't do drugs, my high is wrestling."

Vince and Coach have financial advisors and they are talking about Vince's money and how the family can't touch him. He then asks Coach how Regal is doing. Coach says "pretty beat up" and Vince replies with "well Coach, I guess its time for you to step up again."

Melina did the kiss cam. don't know if it will show up on tv.

During the Triple H vs. Carlito and Umaga match, the ref rang the bell about 1 minute into the match because they were double teaming Triple H in the corner, I'm guess for a DQ. Carlito brings a steel chair in, Triple H grabs it and starts to beat Umaga. He decided it wasn't doing the job so he climbed out of the ring to grab the sledgehammer busting Umaga wide open and continues his attack. Carlito retreats leaving Umaga in a pool of his own blood with Triple H standing over Umaga holding the sledgehammer. Huge pop for Triple H.

    - Off air, they carry Umaga out on a stretcher and change the pad on the mat from all of the blood. (goodbye once more to umaga)

as for the whole mcmahon family part. well lynda comes out trades some remarks, then stephanie comes out and a video is shown by vince who says he's the best dad ever. except the video shows vince slapping and beating up steph. vince yells that its the wrong video. at which that time triple h is shown backstage drinking water and claims it wasn't him who did that. shane comes out and trades insults. vince is asked to resign from his job. mr. kennedy comes out and lets it out he's vince's son. steph doesn't believe it. but kennedy goes on saying he is making vince smile a little. but at this point the lawyer representing the woman who is the mother of vince's illigitemite child shows up and says that kennedy is not vince's kid (storyline change here maybe?). he has the DNA to prove it and he knows who it is. the lawler messes up with his lines and files so he says he will reveal the true identity of the kid next monday but gives the clue that "things are looking up". this portion gets struggles with because the guy playing the lawyer messes up. vince gets angry that kennedy lied to him so he puts him in a match with a very rage filled cena who beats the crap out of him. cena wins with the FU. there were no dark matches. lillian gets in the ring and says goodnight to everyone. it was not a sell out crowd and there was a heat taping prior to the raw taping.

    all this thanx to WNW.

only thing i'm enjoying is that there are finally more title changes on tv then at the ppvs.

What doesn't kill you. Simply makes you STRANGER!

    news about king booker...
There is a rumor going around noting that King Booker is serving a suspension. Whatever the case may, it looks like he's going to be off television for a few weeks. Booker is said to not be happy with one of the new changes in the drug policy, which shouldn't be too hard to figure out. He has not quit yet; however, he is unhappy and some say his heart is not in WWE all that much. Furthermore, Booker's real-life wife Sharmell is reportedly not "married" to the business and would have no problem walking away either. She'll stay as long as Booker stays in WWE. She wants to practice law and has been telling people that she wouldn't mind dropping wrestling to focus on that.

if thats the only way to get rid of that god forsaken gimmick, i hope he does leave! lol

forgot these two other newsworthy items, as they relate to wrestling...

    ric flair:
As previously posted, Ric Flair apparently quit WWE earlier in the week. Sources say WWE has offered Flair a huge program in return for him staying with the company. At last check, the two sides still hadn't came to an agreement

    regarding chris benoit:
ABC News is reporting that according to Chris Benoit’s father, Michael, tests conducted by Julian Bailes of the Sports Legacy Institute revealed that Chris’ brain was severely damaged and resembled that of an 85-year-old Alzheimer patient. Bailes said that the damage was caused by chronic concussions and head trauma suffered over Benoit’s career as a professional wrestler.

As we all know, Benoit was famous for his flying headbutt off of the top roe which puts stress on the brain every time that it is executed. This study certainly could very well give us the reasons why Chris Benoit committed the acts that he did.

    sorry, forgot another:

    i'd consider this mma/wrestling news

Despite Kurt Angle trying to broker a deal between TNA and Brock Lesnar, the company feels that a deal isn’t going to happen at this point. One of the terms issued pitched by TNA is that Lesnar would be able to take time off to train for MMA competition if he was to sign with TNA. Angle is pitching the idea of them working their own programs and making a good income with less traveling.

UFC’s President Dana White feels that they are very confident in signing Brock Lesnar to a contract of some sort.

On the topic of Lesnar, it's said that Lesnar suggested in working a “Mick Foley” type schedule for WWE but Vince McMahon didn’t want to hear any suggestions from Lesnar.

WWE Unforgiven (alternate title: WWE Going Through The Motions):

Punk vs Elijah: Decent match, slow build, dead crowd. Gotta love how Punk just instantly stopped selling his back as soon as the match was over.

V1 & MVP vs the Greasers was ok. I'm actually kinda enjoying the whole "anything you can do, I can do better" idea.

Even with a completely biased set of rules, Carlito still can't come close to beating HHH. And he can see through powder too...

Candice Michelle vs Beth Phoenix/Jazz/Victoria. Decent match. Candice continues to improve slowly. Same psycholoy as Punk vs Elijah though.

Batisita vs Khali vs Rey. *sigh* We'll show everyone we don't abuse steroids. Quick, put the belt on Dave Batisita!

Cade & Murdoch vs Spanky & London. Crowd are dead. Again. It's the recurring theme of this PPV.

Cena vs Randy. *sniff sniff* I smell a bullshit DQ coming...Oh, there it is! Usual stuff. Dueling chants of "Let's go Orton" and then high pitched "Let's go Cena". Pop in any Cena match from the last 2 years and you'll get the idea but this time add in a really unpopular finish.

Taker vs Mark Henry. As the main event. No, seriously. Anyone think Henry is gonna win? Finish was the same 10-Punch corner mount countered into a powerbomb that they use for everyone too big for Taker to lift.

Overall just a lackluster show. The undercard stuff is decent but the main event scene in WWE at the moment is terrible. The only pitch for RAW tonight was to see Vince speak about Hornswoggle. Truth is WWE lost too much talent to quickly over the last couple of years and they haven't come close to replacing them. Rock, Austin, Jericho, RVD, Angle, Trish, Lita, Big Show, Eddie, Christian. Sorry but Khali, Mark Henry, Snitsky, Hornswoggle and even Ken Kennedy just don't cut it.

a review of last night's ppv from a wrestling site said that the show would go dead whenever there was a raw match. most of the crowd was there to see the smackdown matches. even people that were at the event later posted that whenever the raw matches were on, people would use that time to go to the concession stands or take a restroom break. all the major pops of the night went to the smackdown and ecw matches.

also booket t has quit the wwe even though his profile and entrance music video is still on the wwe website.
    from F4Wonline:
As we have reported many times now, it is likely that King Booker is finished with World Wrestling Entertainment. We have new word that Booker was actually close to signing a new long-term contract with the company but was constantly holding out. Apparently he had several demands such as wanting to sit in on production meetings during his feud with Triple H to make sure that his character wasn't buried.

Booker didn't have a contract going into SummerSlam and told the office that he would sign as soon as his attorney finished looking over for the final time. It is believed that he was waiting to see how he was taken care of in his match at SummerSlam. Booker was also said to be very upset that Orton's name showed up on the Signature pharmacy list, but wasn't suspended since he has served his time or come clean (whatever the deal was).

As noted many times, Booker was ready to get out of the business as he never wanted to wrestle a day past 40. He has many things going right now such as his clothing store in Houston, Texas and his independent wrestling promotion. He also made it clear earlier this year that if he would have been drafted to ECW, he would have quit right then and there. Booker stated many times that he didn't want to be like the other guys who died on the road in some hotel.

    also

All of the WWE superstars who were suspended for 30 days will return on the 10/1 RAW in Cleveland, Ohio and the 10/2 SD/ECW show in Dayton, Ohio. Steve O will appear on the 10/1 edition of RAW to promote the debut of his show Dr. Steve O, which airs on the USA Network right after RAW.

Yep, that's my review of Unforgivable, I was feeling oddly lucid yesterday morning. I'm watching RAW Is Bore as I type this.

*Edit* Cade, Murdoch, Carlito, Spanky, London...Gee, isn't HHH tough?

    on a light note...

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Vince McMahon paid for Sherri Martel's funeral. Booker T, who she managed in WCW as Sister Sherri, sent the money to pay for a headstone for Martel's grave.

vince mcmahon paid for bam bam bigelow's public funeral as well.

    Regarding Randy Orton:

Apparently Randy Orton's name was not on the list given to WWE by prosecutors which explains why he wasn't suspended. Orton was suspended a year ago for failing a steroid test that he didn't have a prescription for.

Wrestling Journalist Claims Orton Attempted Suicide
by Richard Gray on 09/18/07 3:18 PM

Well known wrestling journalist and author of the book “Wrestling Babylon”, Irv Muchnick claimed today in a blog post on his web site that well-placed sources within WWE have told him thatRandy Orton recently attempted suicide.

Below is an excerpt from his web site:

A rumor is swirling that World Wrestling Entertainment star Randy Orton attempted suicide within the last year. Very well-placed wrestling sources tell me that the rumor is true. In the wake of the June murder-suicide of Chris Benoit and the scandal involving scads of WWE performers who ordered steroids and human growth hormone from the Internet gray-market dealer Signature Pharmacy, this is serious stuff.

It’s already clear that WWE’s response to the Signature revelations — generated by the district attorney in Albany, New York, and reported by Sports Illustrated and others — is a joke. Some vague number of the miscreant wrestlers, not named, were “suspended,” but the suspension appears to have consisted of simply being downgraded for a few weeks in TV storylines.

From the same evidence, Randy Orton was not touched at all. That is more than a little strange. Orton’s Signature Pharmacy order marked, at the very least, his second “strike” under WWE’s so-called wellness policy, which would have called for a 60-day (rather than a 30-day) suspension.

The suicide whispers mark the problem as more than a game of “gotcha” or even taste (Orton acquired the gimmick “Legend Killer” after WWE blithely turned Eddie Guerrero’s 2005 death into just another “angle”). It’s a matter of life and death.

Orton, 27, is a third-generation wrestler. He is engaged to marry Samantha Speno, a part-time gymnastics teacher, this fall. Last year Randy and Samantha moved into a country-club estate in High Ridge, Missouri (suburban St. Louis), complete with a gym, a hot tub, and four decks.

    Over to you, WWE.

    Irvin Muchnick

an update/clarification regarding the alleged randy orton incident:

Written by Richard Gray on Sep 19, 2007 - 10:25:25 AM
    Source: F4WOnline.com

To follow up on a story that we reported on yesterday, there has been no one inside the WWE locker room that has backed up the claims by wrestling journalist Irv Muchnick that Randy Orton attempted suicide earlier this year. While Orton did have a personal issue, it was believed to be drug related, although no one can confirm nor deny that Orton attempted suicide. Muchnick speculated in his article that the alleged suicide attempt was the reason why Orton was not suspended; however, we are not able to confirm nor deny that.
