    Y2J News

According to one source there are at least some higher ups in WWE that are disappointed with Chris Jericho and his return to RAW. The feeling is that he is not as over as many within the company expected him to be. This could be yet another indication that Randy Orton will retain the WWE Championship at tonight’s pay-per-view.

i don't tend agree with this assessment. i think he has been a plus for raw since bringing him back.

    Original Plans For RAW's Ending

OMG! i just read this. it would have been so fuckin awesome!

The original scripted ending for Raw's 15th Anniversary show called for McMahon to be laid out by either Stone Cold or Undertaker, and then have Bret Hart put Vince in the sharpshooter while the show went off the air. Of course, Hart turned down the invite and WWE went with a different direction.

A couple notable occurances at Armageddon

Chris Jericho defeated Randy Orton via DQ; Orton retains the WWE Championship
The finish saw Jericho get the Walls of Jericho applied. He pulled Orton to the center of the ring when JBL got in and kicked Jericho in the face causing the DQ finish. Orton retains his title. After the match, JBL yelled at Jericho and then Orton hit him with an RKO.

World Title Triple Threat Match: Batista (c) vs Edge vs Undertaker
This match is all over the place to start. All three men are going at it on the floor as there are no count outs or DQ's. Taker locked in the triangle choke on Batista. Edge rang the bell which broke the hold. Taker thought he had won but obviously hadn't. Edge nailed Taker with a spear for a new fall. A phony Edge enters the ring and takes a Chokeslam. The real Edge comes in from behind and nails Undertaker with 3 chairshots for the win.
The show ends with the real Edge holding the World title.

B.J. Penn Continues To Bad Mouth Sean Sherk In The Media

i read this interesting article i thought i'd share about former UFC champ B.J. Penn & former champ Sean Sherk (stripped of his title recently).

The following is an excerpt from an article in the Houston Chronicle:

[B.J.] Penn has been critical of Sherk, suggesting there should be a separate division for fighters found cheating, and intimated that he wouldn't fight Sherk if Sherk's suspension were upheld. While Penn has backed away from those comments and now says he will entertain a fight with the former champion, he continues to take his shots.

"That's what he is; he's a 'roider, huh?" said Penn, who has been outspoken in his opposition to performance-enhancing drugs in the sport.

"The guy has been cheating for how many years? At least everybody knows now what everybody had suspected the whole time.

"But honestly, I can't worry about Sean Sherk right now. I can't look past Joe Stevenson. I've got to beat him, or there won't be any fight with Sean Sherk, there won't be any fight with Matt Hughes.

"As far as Sherk goes, he's going to have to sit on the side and wait while the two people fight for the real lightweight championship, not the 'steroid championship.' "

    UFC 80 Result

Something worth noting about UFC 80 was that BJ Penn defeated Joe Stevenson via rear naked choke to win the vacant UFC Lightweight title. With the win he also becomes only the second man to be champion in more than one weight class. (Randy Couture was the first).

Surpise surprise..........HHH has pulled his ego shit again.............since Cena is going to wrestlemania after winning the royal rumble.........hhh has been pulling strings behind the scenes to get into the main event.
Expect Orton to drop the title to cena at No Way Out....so HHH can get a shot.........IT is still possible for Orton to be involved if they go with a three man event but either way it seems that the man mostly responsible for Booker T leaving the WWE has got his way again............I really hope he picks up a major career injury ...otherwise people like Mr Kennedy and other rising stars will never get the chance with him and that other prick sean micheals about.

    SPOILER WARNING

    ***SPOILER WARNING***
DON'T READ IF YOU ARE TRICOLOR OR DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED AS TO THE RESULTS OF THE FRANK MIR VS BROCK LESNAR FIGHT AT UFC 81.

i can't believe lesnar's unfortunate luck! he beat the hell out of frank mir (for the first minute & a half at least) only to be caught by a kneebar. oh well, thats the way it is in mma, it only takes a momentary lapse of reason (this is also the title of a really good pink floyd album, i recommend it )...
