    CroCop done with UFC

The following is a news article from WrestlingObserver.com:

Reports from Japan, as well as a web site post by Mirko Cro Cop both state Cro Cop will be in Japan tomorrow for a press conference put on by Fighting Entertainment Group (K-1), which will announce the debut of a new MMA promotion to take the place of its Hero's division.

Cro Cop was the most popular foreign MMA fighter in Japan when he signed a six-fight deal at the end of 2006 with UFC. After going 1-2 in UFC, it was known UFC was considering cutting him from the deal due to the high cost of his contract.

His heading to the opening of the new group would make it likely that is how things turned out but we haven't had that confirmed from the UFC side.

Having watched No Way Out .....got to say it was piss poor.............admittedly it is not a supershow like the rumble, mania ,survivor series and summer slam..but was expecting a lot more.Without spoiling it for anybody that does not want to know the results......dont expect much.
All the wrestlers seemed to go through the motions of what only need be done.

those maria pix are already avialable from playboy, but you have to participate in some kind of promotion, or something like that. you also have to pay for it and get a subscription for playboy. not only that but playboy will also send you a dvd of who knows what if you do so. i wasn't interested in all that except i'll just wait for her pix to surface on the site as usual.
What doesn't kill you. Simply makes you STRANGER!

It was just confirmed by Mark "The Hammer" Coleman that he will be facing off against Brock Lesnar at the August UFC PPV. Coleman was inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame tonight.

Coleman stated that he has been trying to get back to the UFC for a while now and that it was all good getting into the UFC HoF but that he wasn't retired. He then stated that Dana White has given him 5 months notice that he will be fighting Brock Lesnar in August.

Just finished watching Wrestlemania XXIV and a good show ..not the greatest by any means..........was delighted that prick HHH did not get his wish granted....who by the way was like an oompa loompa he was so orange........Great to see CM Punk win the money in the bank match..hopefully good things ahead for him although you got to imagine it will be smackdown he will be heading for.........

The Big Show /Mayweather fiasco just completely sucked.....and the finishing to the Undertaker/Edge match was a little lame but a good match none the less

And a big WOOOOOOO for the nature boy

    Sting & Flair

i was thinking about this idea during the flair retirement "ceremony" they had at the end of raw this week. i thought it would have been really cool, but i knew realistically that there was no chance in hell (no pun intended ) of it happening since he is a contracted TNA wrestler. (i think).

There was talk of trying to get Sting into the Ric Flair retirement ceremony but nothing came of it. Obviously if something would have been worked out, he wouldn't have shown up on WWE television. Most of the guys who appeared on the RAW special were called within the last week before the show. Vince McMahon made exception on a few things including JJ Dillon, who usually Vince would not have allowed to appear on WWE TV. WWE officials told Flair to go out to the ring, say goodbye and make sure to keep it short and sweet. Flair knew ahead of time that they were planning something, but had no idea that it would turn out as big as it did.

as high on CM Punk as vince is, i doubt they'd put the strap on him at this point.

    WWE Releases Torrie Wilson

The following was just posted on WWE.com:
WWE has come to terms on the release of WWE Diva Torrie Wilson as of today, May 8, 2008. We wish Torrie the best in all her future endeavors.

Torrie Wilson had been telling people that she was negotiating a new contract with WWE where she would be reduced to Public Relations. Obviously those contract negotiations fell through as WWE wished her the best in her future endeavors. Torrie was told last month by doctors never to wrestle again because of back problems.

No Harm..........I reckon they should sack them all.....they take up too much air time and dont earn the salary they are getting ...when you consider how those wrestlers in the developement companies are taking bumps and doing the traveling not to mention the squash matches they are put through....to earn less..makes you wonder why they earn that much in the first place.

Admittedly there are a few like victoria, mickie james and a few others who give it their best but the majority are rubbish

i have to agree that the women's performance isn't up to par with the mens's. but i do know why WWE keeps them around: T&A (eyecandy=ratings)

    William Regal

William Regal has just been suspended for 60 days, due to failing the WWE'S Wellness Policy. His second offence as well. Silly boy.
