Typical of HHH to end up with the original belt........more for his bragging rights........he wants to top flairs record for most title wins.......and claims he is a true friend.....hypocrite..............looking forward to see who pulls the most strokes should the prick and undertaker start a story fued. Both have a lot of clout backstage

Slight addendum for fact fans: the ECW title (as we knew it) was first held by the "Franchise" Shane Douglas when he threw down the NWA World Title in '93 and declared the ECW World title (until then it had been a regional belt). Snuka held the Eastern Championship Wrestling title twice (the predecessor to Extreme Championship Wrestling).

Unfortunately ....the WWE hierarchy value it as much as they value the other belts...........Tag Team belts (both brands) and theIntercontinental title.....with disregard.
Dont even get me going how they managed to fuck up the cruiser weight title........they had every opportunity to make that the highlight of smackdown with the talented wrestlers.......but instead allowed them to be buried in order for a few squash matches to put over the likes of braindead batista and others.

They also make a pigs ear of the whole WCW invasion angle........what a angle they wasted.

Vince may have put the old WWF on the world map by buying out all the other territories.......but has gone and completely fucked the industry of not just its history..but his pigheadedness to even properly acknowledge it.

Gone are the days when a wrestler can even cut a promo...without it even having to be cleared by some moron in an office........somebody like freddie prinze jnr.

So at WWE Unforgiven, Shane & BigJuggs have decided to have two "championship scramble" matches. Using a variation on the old hardcore title battle royals; the title can change hands any number of times by pinfall or submission within a set time limit, when that time limit expires the man holding the title will be recognized as the official champion.

RAW's World Heavyweight Title is pretty standard fare. CM Punk gets a choice of Cena or Batista to drop the belt to and they've added Y2J and Kane to flesh out the numbers. Pretty much the usual suspects (on a side not this is exactly the type of match I can see Punk eventually retaining in, Batista wants to hurt Kane, Cena wants revenge for losing to Batista and Y2J will have one eye over his shoulder for HBK). But the interesting stuff is happening on SD!...

Usually it's hard to decide whose more overexposed in WWE, Cena or HHH but in all fairness to the King of Kings, he's been pretty anonymous since his move to SD! playing second string to Edge vs Taker. That's over now and the Game puts his belt on the line in a scramble match with the most unlikely challengers at Unforgiven. No Taker, no Edge, no Great Khali, not even a Big Show, instead we get Jeff Hardy returning to the main event and his long running story with HHH, U.S champ Shelton Benjamin (remember him?!), the forgotten man of SD! MVP and THE Brian Kendrick, yep Spanky gets a WWE Title shot!

I guess what I'm asking is, does anyone think Shelton, MVP or Kendrick have any chance of winning the WWE Title or is this just HHH's way of burying the entire SD! youth movement in one match?

I think history speaks for itself.......they will all be buried..as for the scramble match...I am surprised that they do not have one on sd to help HHH get his title reign number even higher.......lets face it .......the prick won't rest till he beats Ric Flairs total.
As for the Undertaker.........it does seem he is the one getting the most exposure at the moment ...........but for how long....?

I guess the answer to my question is "no", it's a shame. I'm guessing HHH vs Taker for the title once they've finished up the last of the La Familia stuff but I can see (I don't think it will happen) but I could see MVP walking out of the scramble as WWE champ...

i don't think MVP has 'earned his stripes' yet. one could argue the same about CM Punk, but maybe the difference between the two is that CM Punk was/is over more. (and that is what matters now-a-days).

obviously HHH is going to keep the title at the scramble. but he will make some of the other guys look good, especially hardy. but it's possible it will end up with some kind of storyline with the undertaker. seems the undertaker and HHH have put their differences aside for the good of the business. they might even be going for the tag titles at some point. many of the house shows have HHH and the undertaker teaming up in tag events.

also gail kim is officially gone from TNA. but expect to see her show up sooner or later in the wwe. if anyone saw TNA, gail's final match was with awesome kong. her "sister" came into the ring to try and save her. in reality gail's sister is earl hebner's daughter. now that gail is gone, whatever storyline they had with that is gone.

colin delaney is officially gone from the wwe/ecw. seems his character really didn't go over that well with fans and his heel turn on tommy dreamer didn't go as well either. so he was released from his 3 year contract. he's already being booked for indy events. maybe he'll go to tna where they'll allow him to really show off what he can do.

there's a lot of problems between the taker and HHH. one of them is that the undertaker doesn't like the way HHH presents himself within the business. HHH is always putting himself over and it's all about him, never allowing the younger talent to shine in the matches they're in with him. the undertaker has always been very old school and believes that those in his and HHH position should try and make the younger talent stand out. the undertaker has had no respect for HHH and even Hogan. but he's had a lot of respect for others like flair. as of the last year it's seems that HHH might have finally opened himself up to making the younger talent look good. although as we still see, at the end HHH always comes out the victor. in the locker room, undertaker is always looked up too by the younger talent and even ask him for a lot of advice. triple h has a lot of stroke now cuz of him being married to the boss' daughter and a lot of him getting over in the ring has to do with his backstage politics and his association with the mcmahons. undertaker also has stroke but he actually earned it compared to how triple h got there. that's another reason taker has never liked working with triple h.

years ago undertaker was going to lose his streak at wrestlemania 17 to kane. he even offered it to kane. kane turned it down. but behind closed doors triple h was trying to convince vince that he wanted to be the one to break the taker's streak. luckily taker found out about it. vince sided with the undertaker feeling the streak was something special and that it has to be someone that the undertaker really feels deserves it. undertaker offered it to kane cuz well kane has been in the wwe for a very long time and is a great company man. he's like the taker where he doesn't care if he's a main eventer or not. in case you didn't know kane was once known as "Dr. isaac yankem". jerry lawler's personal dentist. he wrestled bret hart a lot during this time. at one point in the undertaker's career, the taker was actually known as "kane the undertaker". he was mostly introduced like this at house shows. that was a very short time and he went back to simply being called "the undertaker". when they introduced undertaker's brother they gave him the taker's old but short term only name kane. also for a very short time jim ross was turned into a heel announcer. after kevin nash and scott hall left to the wcw, jim ross introduced two new versions of razor ramon and diesel since the wwe still owned those names. none of this storyline worked so the whole thing was scrapped after a while. the guy playing the part of razor ramon was released from the wwe. the guy playing diesel stayed in the wwe and then surfaced some time later as kane. yep kane was actually the 2nd diesel.

but back to HHH and undertaker. there's a lot of bad blood between the two but as of now it seems they have decided to work together especially since the both know that both of them can draw a crowd. it'll probably lead up to a fued. if they team up now as a tag team and eventually start fued close to wrestlemania...who knows. i don't think undertaker will lay down for HHH or vice versa.

Well the rumour circulating in some wrestling websites is that HHH & Undertaker will clash at Wrestlemania....as demonicus stated the undertaker in recent years has not been too bothered about the winning streak.....prepared to lose if its best for business.........but you got to wonder should the match take place would he object to that egotistical prick HHH coming out on top as he already is over.
Personally I would like to see him lose it to someone like CM Punk or Kennedy....someone who is making good ground and has great potential and it would help their career....provided they are not buried before hand on some interbrand card.
