if the two do end up battling it out at Mania, the match will probably end in such a bad way, interference, etc, etc that the outcome will still have taker winning. just as long as no one actually gets pinned in the match then neither taker or HHH can say they pinned the other.

HHH sucks, he never gives chance to younger wrestlers...
Half of WWE hate him, and the Raw was delighted when he was drafted to SD!

yeah HHH requested to get sent to smackdown. apparantly Stephenie spends all her time on that show so he wanted to be close to her, especially since she was pregnant at that time. and yep almost all the wrestlers hate him.

mick foley has confirmed that he's signed on with TNA on a short term agreement.

Orton even celebrated when he was drafted to SD, and he went to Umaga (who thought he wouldn't have to deal with HHH anymore) that he would have to deal with him now, since he was drafted to SD too...

With rumors swirling the internet for a week that Randy Couture could be making a return to the UFC after 11 months on the shelf, those rumors became a reality today when UFC President Dana White held a conference call to announce that the Heavyweight Champion will finally return to action and the UFC on November 15th when he defends his title against Brock Lesnar in a five round fight in Las Vegas, NV (not Portland OR that was initially the spot the November card was scheduled to emanate from).

More details will be available shortly but White did state that Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira will remain the interim champion and the winners of the Couture/Lesnar and Nogueira/Frank Mir fights will meet in 2009 to unify the titles and make one champion again.
i've got two words for ya: holy shit!

Havent watched UFC that often lately ........but if I am not mistaken.........couture looks to be giving up more than 3 stone in weight to Lesnar........as well as lesner having the advantage of less wear and tear and a younger age.............

be curious to see what price the bookies will be giving on them

ditto, i'd like to see those odds too.

btw, i know that 'stone' is a british (or euro?) measurement. how many pounds/kilograms is a stone?

14 lbs pounds to a stone.............which is a bit of weight when you consider how much couture may be giving up

Authorities have not confirmed if the body is that of missing mixed martial arts fighter, Evan Tanner, who had fought in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). Tanner, 37, has been missing since last weekend.

Tanner's friends from Oceanside, where Tanner resides, had been texting him without reply since Wednesday before they reported him missing on Friday.

On Sunday, a campsite was discovered in the Clapp Springs area of the Palo Verde mountains. Tanner's motorcycle was found at the campsite. A body was found today when a sheriffs deputy was flying around the general location of the campsite.

According to MMAJunkie.com, a friend of Tanner's has told them that she received confirmation today that the body was that of Tanner's.

Am I the only one who thinks it's way too early for Brock to be getting a World Title shot? Aside from the serious lack of experience from Lesnar's point of view to be competing against a veteran like Couture (a lack of experience highlighted in the Frank Mir fight and a serious inability to finish a beaten man against Heath Herring); what kind of message does it send for a rookie with a 1 - 1 UFC record (2 - 1 overall) to suddenly be Number #1 contender?

as much as i like BL, i have to totally agree. it revealed to me, something i kind of knew already: that at least some times the UFC does what it right for business, not necessarily what is right for the competitors.

From a business point of view, what if Randy Couture causes another of his famous upset victories? Lesnar could be the UFC's cash cow for the next few years to come but losing again this early in his career...

Were lesnar to lose............you would have to imagine his options would be severly limited ....and a certain vince mcmahon would possibly be the biggest benefactor....with the ball firmly in the WWE's court were he looking for a contract......however a win would possibly end any speculation of a wrestling return for a good few years to come.......not to mention the financial windfall for him and UFC.

I agree with ye both........either way his title shot has come far to early and its undeserving

On another note.............did anybody think it a strange decision to withdraw CM Punk from the scramble match..................? even though Jericho winning was an added bonus

Strange but ok. Punk & Kofi vs Evolution 2.0 is fine with me. I'm more concerned with HHH burying MVP, Shelton and THE Brian Kendrick.
